We're looking for an awesome videographer
Applications are now closed- thank you to everyone who applied for the role.
We need a videographer with a gift for telling stories. You need to be able to turn our back-of-an-envelope scribblings into beautiful video and sound, bursting with personality and dripping with style.
You need to be comfortable working to tight deadlines on a variety of projects for high profile clients with the flexibility to work from anywhere at any time.
That means one week you could be on a Welsh mountain side as part of a film crew, and the next you could be in Tallinn for a World Cup qualifier surrounded by passionate football fans.
You could be editing a 90-minute motor racing programme for a national TV station, or recording a BBC radio documentary about why teenage girls drop out of doing sport.
We need quality, clarity, efficiency and bucketfuls of top class skills and ideas.
WHO ARE YOU:
You’ll have at least a degree in a relevant subject which includes practical filming, editing and other production skills.
You’ll have a showreel of beautiful, well-shot, well-told content which makes you look like dog’s unmentionables.
You’ll be a total ledge on Premiere Pro, able to quickly organise raw footage, build a storyboard and add the polish to make your project sing.
You’ll have a solid grasp of Adobe’s other content creation software including After Effects and Photoshop.
You’ll need to be properly organised and able to work independently while also acting on direction and feedback from your project manager and our clients.
You need to know the ins and outs of archiving material and will be able to put your finger on exactly the clip we need at a moment’s notice.
You need to have ideas and help others in the team to develop their ideas.
You’ll need to be happy travelling, and a full UK driver’s licence is a big plus.
We’d love it if you could speak Welsh.
THE SAUCE:
EatSleep Media operates under a number of founding principles.
Build it and they will come…..as long as it’s not shit!
The videos, programmes, films and podcasts we make are all high quality, engaging, entertaining and informative. We don’t do stale, corporate or ‘same old same old’. We constantly push production boundaries to be more awesome each time.
Don’t be a dick!
The way we treat our clients, the people who feature in our content and each other. We’ve got no time for negativity and bad vibes. Our approach to every person is the same as our approach to every project - upbeat, positive and supportive.
Sweep the sheds
Totally stolen from the New Zealand All Blacks where the job of cleaning up the dressing rooms and taking out the rubbish lies with the senior players.
We would never ask you to do something we wouldn’t do ourselves. So you won’t be stuck with the tea-run or the filing. We do the donkey work to give you the time and the tools to be the best you can be.
We promise to grow you, develop you, give you ownership of a variety of high profile productions with the support and guidance you need, when you need it.
We’ll provide a vibrant, positive working environment based mainly at our Cardiff Bay office, but, to be honest, you could be anywhere in Wales, the UK or the wider world working on our next mega project.
We also recognise personal lives are a thing and you could need some flexibility to work from home, or wherever, either because of other commitments or just because you want to get your head down and crack on.
We offer a competitive salary, generous annual leave, a company pension and your birthday off, cos who wants to be at work for that?!
HOW TO APPLY:
Give us your best. Send a CV and cover letter. Send a showreel. Send us an idea for a film or programme you’d love to get off the ground but don’t know how to get started.
You want to really impress us? Get to know the company, our products, our style and our personality and then show us something we don’t already know.
