As ESM grew and we created more and more content for fans of Welsh football delivered via our small Facebook page for EatSleepFootyRepeat, we realised that we would benefit from access to a larger audience.

At the time there were several Facebook pages for that Welsh football audience that had in excess of 40,000 followers, one was Welsh Football Fans. WFF had been set up by a member of the Red Wall, and several people had been dipping in and out of the page as admins so the quality and quantity of the content varied.

ESM acquired the Facebook page from its original owner and took full ownership of the page, and developed a new brand and strategy. Alongside the FB page, ESM developed the WFF website where several writers from across the Welsh football community could tell stories, write articles and engage with other fans.

A vibrant, passionate community of fantastic people celebrating all that is great about Welsh football. The website is packed full of fascinating articles, interviews, and special features including historic matches and players, match previews, reactions, and player profiles.

Across our social media channels, we share memes, the latest news involving Welsh internationals, videos, GIFs, and live streams - including the fantastic thing that is a Wales away trip.

Welsh Football Fans’ Facebook page now has over 50,000 followers and reaches around 2 million people per month across all platforms as a source of information, entertainment, shared content, and original content from grassroots football to Wales at the World Cup.
