Digital Content Producer - Welsh Football Fans

We are looking for a digital content producer for our in-house page Welsh Football Fans. Note: This is a Kickstart Scheme role so you must be age 16-24 and on Universal Credit to apply. Talk to your work coach to check eligibility before applying.

WHO ARE WE:

EatSleep Media is a full-suite production company making anything from catchy GIFs to podcasts, documentary films to websites.

Welsh Football Fans is our legacy in-house brand celebrating all there is to love about Welsh football and its fans.

From grassroots to senior international level, fashion to food with music sandwiched moistly inbetween, it is unapologetically passionate and partisan.

With more than 47 thousand followers on Facebook alone, WFF celebrates the vibrant, hilarious, knowledgeable, occasionally drunk, but always passionate community of Welsh football.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

We need a digital content producer positively oozing with ideas and bursting with joy for Welsh football and Welsh Football Fans.

You’ll be the sort of person who salivates about writing up the match report from Ynyshir vs Pen-y-Darren on a chilly Sunday evening, while knowing Gareth Bale’s inside leg measurement and where Aaron Ramsey gets his hair dye.

You’ll want to smash out entertaining but informative articles featuring anything and everything to do with Welsh football, wake up with a smile on your face at the  thought of chatting with our online community, and be literally close to wetting yourself over uncovering the untold stories and unsung heroes which keep Welsh football going.

WHO ARE YOU:

You’ll have razor sharp writing skills with the ability to string together a sequence of words which vaguely resemble coherent, legible sentences, one after the other, with virtually no spelling or grammatical cock ups..

Your writing will also be humorous. God knows someone has to be around here!

You’ll have experience of writing online articles, preferably on Squarespace, including sourcing and attributing images, embedding social media posts, videos and other content.

You’ll have pub quiz-jealousy inducing knowledge of the glorious world of Welsh football.

You’ll be more than comfortable running our WFF social media channels, planning out content, liaising with our volunteers and guest writers, and planning campaigns to reach as far and as deep into Welsh football fans as you possibly dare.

You’ll know how to make a graphic, a GIF and maybe even a video or podcast.

You need to have ideas and help others in the team to develop theirs too.

You’ll need to be happy travelling, and a full UK driver’s licence is a big plus.

We’d love it if you could speak Welsh.

THE SAUCE:

EatSleep Media operates under a number of founding principles.

Build it and they will come…..as long as it’s not shit!

The videos, programmes, films, podcasts and articles we make are all high quality, engaging, entertaining and informative. We don’t do stale, corporate or ‘same old same old’. We constantly push production boundaries to be more awesome each time.

Don’t be a dick!

The way we treat our clients, the people who feature in our content and each other. We’ve got no time for negativity and bad vibes. Our approach to every person is the same as our approach to every project - upbeat, positive and supportive.

Sweep the sheds

Totally stolen from the New Zealand All Blacks where the job of cleaning up the dressing rooms and taking out the rubbish lies with the senior players.

We would never ask you to do something we wouldn’t do ourselves. So you won’t be stuck with the tea-run or the filing. We do the donkey work to give you the time and the tools to be the best you can be.

We promise to grow you, develop you, give you ownership of a variety of high profile productions with the support and guidance you need, when you need it.

We’ll provide a vibrant, positive working environment based mainly at our Cardiff Bay office, but, to be honest, you could be anywhere in Wales, the UK or the wider world working on our next mega project.

We also recognise personal lives are a thing and you could need some flexibility to work from home, or wherever, either because of other commitments or just because you want to get your head down and crack on.

We offer a competitive salary, generous annual leave, a company pension and your birthday off, cos who wants to be at work for that?!
