Welsh Blood Service Partnership

The Football Association of Wales wanted to highlight its partnership with the Welsh Blood Service and encourage more clubs to sign up and take part in blood donation sessions.

EatSleep Media produced a special FC Cymru episode following one bag of donated blood from Holyhead Hotspur in Anglesey, through the Welsh Blood Bank, and all the way to Aberystwyth where we meet a footballer whose life was saved by donated blood.

From arm to arm, the programme draws the viewer in, showing how much care is taken with donated blood, how it is processed and allocated and the lives it can save.

By putting an authentic personal story at the center of this video ESM were able to distill a much larger process down into the steps that showcase how one donation can save a life.

We also learned a brilliant new phrase - Buffy coat!
