FC CYMRU - World Cup Play-Off Ukraine Appeal: Hannah Cain's Story

The Qatar 2022 qualifiers were a historic night for the Wales men’s football team as they played in the World Cup semi-final play-off against Austria. But there was much more to this special edition of FC Cymru, set against the backdrop of the terrible war in Ukraine.

We wanted to show the generosity and support of the fans as volunteers collected money for charity. We also spoke to new FAW CEO Noel Mooney as he toured the football clubs of Wales to talk about the future of the game.

And we joined Wales women’s international Hannah Cain as she visits a south Wales school to talk about her career and what it means to her to pull on a Wales shirt. FC Cymru once again is a vehicle for engaging personality-led content that delivers key strategic messages from the FA Wales to their audience through story-driven video.
